Most Industrial Accidents Are Not Caused by Technical Failure

Good UX here feels almost invisible—until it is needed most.
It reveals itself in moments of uncertainty, when the system:
slows users down when speed would be dangerous
forces confirmation when assumptions are risky
makes abnormal states unmistakable
This is not friction.

Designing for Stability, Not Efficiency
Efficiency optimizes for normal conditions.
High-risk environments rarely operate under normal conditions.
UX in these systems must prioritize stability over speed, clarity over minimalism, and recovery over optimization.
The most valuable interfaces are not the fastest.
They are the ones that remain legible, trustworthy, and actionable when everything else is under strain.
